Raymond Calloway came out of the goal and Eloy Bateman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Goodrich to strike the kick off in the second half. Raymond Calloway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Forest Oneil came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Garson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Forest Oneil couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Whitney Monjeau sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alma AFC's Stan Clayton didn't even have to move. Ulrich Hinson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Alma AFC's Stan Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Goodrich in the 91st minute of play. Forest Oneil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stan Clayton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
