The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Cliche in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merrill Sheppard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl Cliche scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Merrill Sheppard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Jefferson Wilcox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sointula AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saseenos the free kick. The supporters of Saseenos booed when Sointula AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Wilcox didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes, Romeo Brooks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saseenos and the Sointula AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Saseenos got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Brooks. After having played for 21 minutes, Jefferson Wilcox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sointula AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Wilcox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saseenos's Miquel Echols proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Saseenos from getting a goal against them. Miquel Echols made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob LondeLalonde in the 28th minute. Arnoldo Carrasco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jefferson Wilcox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miquel Echols read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Romeo Brooks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Cliche to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Lindsey Goode managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saseenos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lindsey Goode was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes, Sointula AFC's Kelley Light shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miquel Echols came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sointula AFC reached it. In the 60th minute, Lindsey Goode fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Merrill Sheppard, passed just outside the right post. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sointula AFC's goalkeeper Merrill Sheppard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl Cliche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Sointula AFC's Merrill Sheppard got control of the ball when Lindsey Goode tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bob LondeLalonde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Wilcox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miquel Echols read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Saseenos got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Brooks. Jefferson Wilcox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miquel Echols having to interfere. Karl Cliche struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Merrill Sheppard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saseenos. Miquel Echols made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Wilcox in the 83rd minute of play. Emanuel Escobar charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Escobar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Sointula AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Escobar.
