The supporters of Shepard FC booed when Gorlitz AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatole Ames didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Chi Brown sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gorlitz AFC's Grady Lécuyer didn't even have to move. 28 minutes into the game, Darren Parks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shepard FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorlitz AFC the free kick. Darren Parks kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gorlitz AFC's Grady Lécuyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Beatty in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Gorlitz AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Oswaldo Mayberry hit a great ball. Heath Lord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentin Chu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Felipe Brandon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Brandon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grady Lécuyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute of the match Jackson Clements sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florentin Chu skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Shepard FC's Chi Brown got a free kick in the 48th minute.

A collision led to Shepard FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daron Darling hit a great ball. Felipe Brandon's late challenge caught a Gorlitz AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Brandon helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Shepard FC's Felipe Brandon got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the game, one of Shepard FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Gorlitz AFC's Victor Booker got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Florentin Chu. Victor Booker shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Daron Darling hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Booker got free with Florentin Chu in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Shepard FC's Daron Darling got a free kick in the 79th minute. Shepard FC's Florentin Chu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Shepard FC from getting a goal against them. If Heath Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Mayberry in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentin Chu saved Shepard FC from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Oswaldo Mayberry fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florentin Chu, passed just outside the right post. Felipe Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
