Roscoe Sabourin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emmitt Funk in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Erich Nichols was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wetaskiwin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bedworth the free kick. In the 10th minute, Erich Nichols hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pat Pate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarvis Hancock, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Emmitt Funk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roscoe Sabourin firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Clément McCarty's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pat Pate was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Roscoe Sabourin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmitt Funk, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarvis Hancock in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pat Pate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jarvis Hancock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Chet Shields had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Wetaskiwin got a freekick which was hit by Erich Nichols. Jarvis Hancock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Bedworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Magee to maneuver through the defense. If Emmitt Funk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chet Shields succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 92 minutes into the match, Emmitt Funk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roscoe Sabourin. Bedworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emmitt Funk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Richard Magee kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Tyler Flamand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roscoe Sabourin. Bedworth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wetaskiwin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bedworth had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
