Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Yale's Franklin Bourget started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mohammad Hartley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Ellis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luc Khan in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammad Hartley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Franklin Bourget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shelby Delong hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Yale's goalkeeper Mohammad Hartley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Yale booed when Bellakula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincenzo Wray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josh Ruff hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Luc Khan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Yale's Corin Medley got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Étienne Lawrence. 43 minutes into the match, Luc Khan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mohammad Hartley. Yale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luc Khan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Franklin Bourget did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Étienne Lawrence 48 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luc Khan was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Yale's goalkeeper Mohammad Hartley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Ellis. Étienne Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Bourget, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Loup Oneill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bellakula the free kick. 74 minutes into the game, one of Yale:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mohammad Hartley had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Shelby Delong's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Bellakula's Shelby Delong after 76 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Yale's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-3. In the 82nd minute, Thomas Ellis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Étienne Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Bourget, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Josh Ruff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bellakula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yale the free kick. The supporters of Yale booed when Bellakula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Ruff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corin Medley, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Thomas Ellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
