Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guy Rochon kicked off to start the match. After 6 played minutes Cannington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Choi. 13 minutes into the match, Cannington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lenard Metcalf came free, but Nigel James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montmartre's Ashley Gougeon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Montmartre from getting a goal against them. Lino McWilliams kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Felton Washington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Montmartre's Felton Washington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nigel James narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lenard Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel James having to interfere. Felton Washington scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nigel James, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nigel James showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felton Washington in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Felton Washington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delbert Desjardins charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delbert Desjardins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Felton Washington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Choi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ashley Gougeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Ohara kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lenard Metcalf was the one to do the kick off. Ashley Gougeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Choi in the 53rd minute of the match. Xavier Ohara hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felton Washington got free with Nigel James in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guy Rochon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Cannington AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Long Doherty hit a great ball. When Gus Houston fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montmartre's protests and gave Gus Houston a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Cannington AFC. Scottie Whatley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ashley Gougeon. 1-1. In the 77th minute, Ricardo Choi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Gougeon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Nigel James took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenard Metcalf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenard Metcalf took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nigel James. Nigel James dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, Montmartre's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Choi came free, but Ashley Gougeon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match Garry Lamy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ashley Gougeon skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenard Metcalf in the 97th minute of play forced Cannington AFC's goalkeeper Nigel James to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montmartre walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
