Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eustache Chu kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Moses Marleau got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Hippolyte Rubin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Carmelo Shoemaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shunacadie's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Shoemaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gus McGinnis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Carmelo Shoemaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gus McGinnis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Gilmour FC got a freekick which was hit by Mikel Levy. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Shoemaker in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gus McGinnis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A well placed Carmelo Shoemaker short distance shot in the 20th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Shoemaker in the 23rd minute of play forced Gilmour FC's goalkeeper Gus McGinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Shoemaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gus McGinnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shunacadie's Samuel Bailey got a free kick in the 31st minute. Isaac Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustache Chu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 41st minute, Samuel Bailey had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 41 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Fortune was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gilmour FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shunacadie the free kick. After 42 played minutes Gilmour FC got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Fortune. Hippolyte Rubin struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Gus McGinnis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shunacadie. Shunacadie's Carmelo Shoemaker got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When Gilmour FC's Eustache Chu in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shunacadie's goalie prevented a goal. 55 minutes into the match, Gilmour FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hippolyte Rubin came free, but Gus McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Porter Sumner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Isaac Flores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shunacadie's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Foster Schulz was slow to take the kick. During this time Gilmour FC's players had a chance to rest. Gus McGinnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hippolyte Rubin in the 70th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Shunacadie's goalkeeper Isaac Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Porter Sumner. 86 minutes into the match, Eustache Chu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isaac Flores, 2-1. Shunacadie's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
