Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Solomon Hollingsworth started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Carmen Ramey charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmen Ramey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Miocene booed when Vantage AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmen Ramey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes Miocene got a freekick which was hit by Solomon Hollingsworth. Vantage AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Solomon Hollingsworth scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Tilley, making the score, 1-0. Clyde Vogt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Tilley having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Vantage AFC got a freekick which was hit by James Desrosiers. The audience was convinced that Solomon Hollingsworth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Tilley was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the game, Dennis Riley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vantage AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miocene the free kick. In the 26th minute, Israel McCann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Barton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Solomon Hollingsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miocene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solomon Hollingsworth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Ellsworth Spicer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Israel McCann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Arturo Barton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Israel McCann notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Miocene's Arturo Barton. Arturo Barton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute of the match, Israel McCann got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arturo Barton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arturo Barton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel McCann in the 54th minute. The audience held their breath when Eddie Short in the 58th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Arturo Barton's left hand side. Ellsworth Spicer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Ellsworth Spicer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Vantage AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Solomon Hollingsworth came free, but Ivan Tilley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Miocene's Arturo Barton got control of the ball when Ellsworth Spicer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vantage AFC's zone, Solomon Hollingsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Tilley came out of the goal and Solomon Hollingsworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vantage AFC's Ivan Tilley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clyde Vogt in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vantage AFC's zone, Clyde Vogt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Tilley came out of the goal and Clyde Vogt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ellsworth Spicer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ellsworth Spicer in the 85th minute of play forced Miocene's goalkeeper Arturo Barton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Clyde Vogt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miocene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 95th minute Clyde Vogt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Tilley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
