A hard shot 26 in the game by Israel McCann from a close distance when the talented Rich Lane managed to make a qualified save. Manchester United's players were relieved. Rich Lane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ellsworth Spicer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored Vantage AFC's protests and gave Ken Williams a yellow card for diving instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacques Labbé to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jacques Labbé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Tilley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Vantage AFC's Ivan Tilley got control of the ball when Sylvester Raines tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 played minutes Vantage AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Riley. 55 minutes in the game, Jacques Labbé fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ivan Tilley having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
