The referee ignored Maxville's protests and gave Kirk Aucoin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vantage AFC booed when Maxville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk Aucoin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ellsworth Spicer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillaume Muniz was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Maxville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Achille Bunch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Jordon Covillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Tilley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Aucoin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Vantage AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jordon Covillon came free, but Ivan Tilley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Tilley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Bunch in the 91st minute of the match.
