To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Solomon Hollingsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miocene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solomon Hollingsworth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Solomon Hollingsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miocene's Arturo Barton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Gorman in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Beebe getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Renaud Bowers hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jimmie Gorman to strike the kick off in the second half.
