Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marty Cardenas got the match started through his kick off. Abdul Nesbitt made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Delbert Ingram sent off a good shot on target. After 7 played minutes Belmont got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Chatigny. Delbert Ingram struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Abdul Nesbitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belmont. After a defensive mix-up in Belmont's zone, Marty Cardenas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlen Patry came out of the goal and Marty Cardenas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Belmont booed when Matheson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Cardenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Delbert Ingram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Delbert Ingram got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 30 played minutes Matheson FC got a freekick which was hit by Vince Bridges. 1-0 became the score in the 32nd minute when Lewis Chatigny elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Truman Wheeler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delbert Ingram's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Abdul Nesbitt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 39 minutes into the game, Danial Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matheson FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belmont the free kick. Lewis Chatigny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Abdul Nesbitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Belmont booed when Matheson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danial Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Léonard Zamora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute of the match Belmont got a corner. Matheson FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charles Hess ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lewis Chatigny in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdul Nesbitt saved Matheson FC from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Matheson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delbert Ingram came free, but Abdul Nesbitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Matheson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Bridges to maneuver through the defense. When Lawerence Scales came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Matheson FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lawerence Scales couldn't finish the play. If Vince Bridges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawerence Scales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Belmont's zone, Olen Rubio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlen Patry came out of the goal and Olen Rubio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdul Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delbert Ingram in the 80th minute of the match. If Lawerence Scales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmont were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Matheson FC for a fine match.
