Luke Vann hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Frank Lampron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooks Lusk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Lampron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Snyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Lampron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raymond Snyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cliffside FC booed when Igluligaarjuk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Woodard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Cliffside FC's Jess Watkins tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Igluligaarjuk's Rickey Chaussée was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leandro Labrecque in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Snyder in the 47th minute of play forced Igluligaarjuk's goalkeeper Brooks Lusk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Lampron to make the kick off. Rosario Howell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Leandro Labrecque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Lampron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brooks Lusk having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Esteban Woodard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Igluligaarjuk and the Cliffside FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cliffside FC's Leandro Labrecque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Howell in the 65th minute of play. Brooks Lusk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Lampron in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Igluligaarjuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Woodard to maneuver through the defense. Igluligaarjuk's Jame Givens got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute Esteban Woodard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Labrecque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosario Howell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Labrecque having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Igluligaarjuk's Jamar Hogue got a free kick in the 88th minute. Brooks Lusk came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Cliffside FC's Raymond Snyder. But to his dismay, Raymond Snyder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Cliffside FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cliffside FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
