Olen Rubio's late challenge caught a Miocene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olen Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Matheson FC got a freekick which was hit by Olen Rubio. Matheson FC's Abdul Nesbitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Solomon Hollingsworth in the 6th minute of play. If Clyde Vogt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdul Nesbitt made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Clyde Vogt sent off a good shot on target. Clyde Vogt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Solomon Hollingsworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdul Nesbitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 19th minute, Solomon Hollingsworth fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Clyde Vogt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Solomon Hollingsworth struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Abdul Nesbitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miocene. In the 26th match minute, Matheson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Bridges to maneuver through the defense. Clyde Vogt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Solomon Hollingsworth in the 29th minute of play forced Matheson FC's goalkeeper Abdul Nesbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdul Nesbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Solomon Hollingsworth in the 34th minute of play. Abdul Nesbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Solomon Hollingsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clyde Vogt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Solomon Hollingsworth was the one to do the kick off. Marty Cardenas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Arturo Barton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Barton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marty Cardenas's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Miocene's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Cardenas came free, but Arturo Barton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Miocene's Lyle Grubb got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Miocene's Solomon Hollingsworth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdul Nesbitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Miocene booed when Matheson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danial Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Miocene were the better team. Miocene's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
