Brooks Lusk came out of the goal and John Zoolingen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norman Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Brooks Lusk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brooks Lusk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Villanueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Clemente Blanco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Brooks Lusk to make any attempt to save it. If Norman Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Zoolingen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Brooks Lusk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. John Zoolingens short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Brooks Lusk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chevaliers de Québec's Jay McDonough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Howell in the 19th minute of play. Brooks Lusk made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Theo Guilmette sent off a good shot on target. Rosario Howell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jay McDonough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Igluligaarjuk's Rosario Howell got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Gregory Hyatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes, Chevaliers de Québec's Jamel Rouse shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brooks Lusk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chevaliers de Québec reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when John Zoolingen made the kick off in the second half. John Zoolingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brooks Lusk having to interfere. After 56 minutes, John Zoolingen made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Igluligaarjuk's Brooks Lusk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Norman Villanueva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brooks Lusk having to make a save. John Zoolingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, John Zoolingen notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Igluligaarjuk's Brooks Lusk. Brooks Lusk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 69 minutes, Jamar Hogue mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Igluligaarjuk and the Chevaliers de Québec players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jamar Hogue hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Igluligaarjuk's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Blanco came free, but Brooks Lusk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Woodard during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theo Guilmette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Titus Broussard struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Brooks Lusk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chevaliers de Québec. The audience was convinced that John Zoolingen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brooks Lusk was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Chevaliers de Québec's Titus Broussard got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Jamel Rouse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Zoolingen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
