Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eric Pearce kicked off to start the match. Gilbert Minton made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Dorsey Laramée sent off a good shot on target. If Damon Ware had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Minton came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Wingham FC's Justin Vaughn. But to his dismay, Justin Vaughn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Wingham FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Florian Jetté hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Damon Ware shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodore Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theodore Beard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clyde Ryder, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Eric Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Minton having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Wingham FC's Dorsey Laramée nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Minton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 74 played minutes Cottonwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Dexter Desaulniers. Cottonwood FC's Gilbert Minton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorsey Laramée in the 75th minute of play. Eric Pearce's late challenge caught a Cottonwood FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Pearce helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Wingham FC got a freekick which was hit by Eric Pearce. 87 minutes into the match, Cottonwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorsey Laramée came free, but Gilbert Minton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Pearce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clyde Ryder struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Theodore Beard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cottonwood FC. 97 minutes into the match, Cottonwood FC's Damon Ware sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theodore Beard narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
