Jean Brousseau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Antione Dias made a huge save. If Joe Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cobourg FC's Basil Kenney in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viking's goalie prevented a goal. The corner ended in Gonzalo Doherty almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Viking's Humberto Doiron did a great save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Viens couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 70thth minute of the game Basil Kenney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viking's Humberto Doiron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Viens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Humberto Doiron. That made the score 1-1 in the 74 minute of play. Basil Kenney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cobourg FC's zone, Joe Bain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antione Dias came out of the goal and Joe Bain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Viking got a freekick which was hit by Augustus Kaplan. 92 minutes into the match, Viking's Jean Brousseau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antione Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viking were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
