In the 11th minute, Joe Bain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andromedans were furious when Laurens Koning was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Andromedans:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Viking:s goal. After some careless play in the Andromedans defense, Ashley Mayberry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Garin. The Andromedans fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Garin should have stopped the shot. Humberto Doiron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benton Bartlett in the 20th minute. Benton Bartlett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Humberto Doiron made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Viking's zone, Wilson Deschênes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Doiron came out of the goal and Wilson Deschênes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertram Cuillerier struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Humberto Doiron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andromedans. When Benton Bartlett came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Andromedans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benton Bartlett couldn't finish the play. Humberto Doiron made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Benton Bartlett sent off a good shot on target. If Wilson Deschênes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Deschênes struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Humberto Doiron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andromedans. Benton Bartlett in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Humberto Doiron, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Isidore Newby fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viking's protests and gave Isidore Newby a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Andromedans booed when Viking was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidore Newby didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wilson Deschênes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Andromedans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Deschênes couldn't finish the play. Viking's Humberto Doiron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Viking from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joe Bain made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Wilson Deschênes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Andromedans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Andromedans's Wilson Deschênes got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Deschênes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Doiron having to interfere. After 63 minutes of play, Andromedans's Carter Murillo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Doiron was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Wilson Deschênes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Doiron was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Viking's zone, Benton Bartlett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Doiron came out of the goal and Benton Bartlett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Wilson Deschênes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Doiron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Wilson Deschênes made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Doiron. Viking's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Wilson Deschênes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Doiron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Viking's zone, Benton Bartlett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Doiron came out of the goal and Benton Bartlett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Doiron came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Andromedans's Wilson Deschênes. But to his dismay, Wilson Deschênes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Wilson Deschênes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andromedans's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Deschênes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Doiron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Deschênes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Doiron having to interfere. Andromedans's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
