Antione Dias was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Leif Lawler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leif Lawler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 20th minute of the match, Leif Lawler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antione Dias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 23 minutes into the match, Tukik's Leif Lawler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antione Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ivan Viens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodney Monroe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basil Kenney in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Tukik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otha Rouse to maneuver through the defense. Basil Kenney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cobourg FC booed when Tukik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Sinclair didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Ivan Viens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodney Monroe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Tukik's Leif Lawler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Rodney Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basil Kenney, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Tukik's goal looked a bit too open when Basil Kenney came free, but Rodney Monroe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Basil Kenney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodney Monroe was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Lawler to make the kick off. When Otha Rouse fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tukik's protests and gave Otha Rouse a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Tukik got a freekick which was hit by Otha Rouse. After having played for 62 minutes, Basil Kenney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cobourg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basil Kenney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basil Kenney was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Tukik's Antony Hathaway got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Cobourg FC were awarded a corner. Gonzalo Doherty went to the cornerflag to take it. Jame Soto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Antione Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jame Soto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauricio Sinclair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cobourg FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
