After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Pearce to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Jc Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ucluelet AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jc Cox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dorsey Laramée had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ucluelet AFC's Hans Frye got control of the ball when Dorsey Laramée tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 80th minute of the match Otis Jetté completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Otis Jetté a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
