With a little luck, Hawkesbury AFC's Fabien Gibson got control of the ball when Angelo Doran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richelieu AFC's Odis Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keneth Murdock in the 7th minute of play. Kris Grant's late challenge caught a Richelieu AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kris Grant helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Richelieu AFC booed when Hawkesbury AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Hawkesbury AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kris Grant hit a great ball. Palmer Carson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkesbury AFC's zone, Angelo Doran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabien Gibson came out of the goal and Angelo Doran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Doran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fabien Gibson made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Keneth Murdock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odis Gonzales was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Cyril Leonard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Odis Gonzales was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Darnell Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fabien Gibson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Hawkesbury AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angelo Doran fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hawkesbury AFC's Fabien Gibson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darnell Macias in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Richelieu AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Albert Thayer hit a great ball. Fabien Gibson was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Darnell Macias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darnell Macias really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyril Leonard made a kick off. Cyril Leonard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odis Gonzales having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Elvin Yarbrough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Richelieu AFC and the Hawkesbury AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hawkesbury AFC booed when Richelieu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvin Yarbrough didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Angelo Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Richelieu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Doran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabien Gibson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Cyril Leonard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odis Gonzales was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Darnell Macias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-1 became the score in the 65th minute when Antione Quick elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Angelo Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Darnell Macias in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Richelieu AFC defense, Cyril Leonard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Odis Gonzales. The Richelieu AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odis Gonzales should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Richelieu AFC's Odis Gonzales got control of the ball when Keneth Murdock tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Hawkesbury AFC's Cyril Leonard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Odis Gonzales narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darnell Macias in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Gibson saved Hawkesbury AFC from getting behind. Fabien Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Doran in the 94th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Doran in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabien Gibson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darnell Macias in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Gibson saved Hawkesbury AFC from getting behind.
