Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eric Pearce took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Dorsey Laramée had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viking's Thurman Smallwood got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eric Pearce came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Wingham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Pearce couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Wingham FC's Dorsey Laramée nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Doiron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joe Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Eric Pearce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wingham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Pearce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Doiron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Eric Pearce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Pearce in the 31st minute of play forced Viking's goalkeeper Humberto Doiron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joe Bain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Theodore Beard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Viking's zone, Eric Pearce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Doiron came out of the goal and Eric Pearce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Joe Bain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Doiron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Pearce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Eric Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Humberto Doiron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thurman Smallwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merrill Dejesus in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theodore Beard saved Wingham FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merrill Dejesus during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Merrill Dejesus kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Léon Lilly, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Eric Pearce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Humberto Doiron. Eric Pearce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Eric Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Doiron having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Wingham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thurman Smallwood came free, but Theodore Beard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wingham FC's goalkeeper Theodore Beard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wingham FC's Eric Pearce got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Doiron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorsey Laramée in the 98th minute.
