The supporters of Ayersville FC booed when Gowganda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heath Rocher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Émile Wiggins in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Ambroise Sicard notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Gowganda's Herbert Moreno. Herbert Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Browne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrice Demers in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gowganda's Valentin Mazuret got a free kick in the 66th minute. Herbert Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambroise Sicard's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Émile Wiggins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Herbert Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gowganda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ayersville FC.
