Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oswaldo Salgado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Herbert Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Stanley in the 12th minute of the match. When Valentin Mazuret came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gowganda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Mazuret couldn't finish the play. Gowganda's Herbert Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Sherrill in the 22nd minute of play. Herbert Moreno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charles Sherrill went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gowganda's Valentin Mazuret got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oswaldo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Mazuret in the 31st minute.
