In the 17th minute, Galen Head hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Brownsburg's Columbus Petersen got a free kick in the 18th minute. Randell Duhamel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Cumberland's Herschel Strange nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brownsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Rosario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Brownsburg's Randell Duhamel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Rosario in the 37th minute of play. Herschel Strange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Duhamel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Rosario in the 67th minute of play forced Brownsburg's goalkeeper Randell Duhamel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cumberland booed when Brownsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Strickland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cumberland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Emil Valentine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Brownsburg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cumberland were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
