Eldridge Burke was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Wings's Mathew Arnold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jack Kidd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Justin Callahan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathew Arnold in the 19th minute of play forced St. Lawrence FC's goalkeeper Jack Kidd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Merchant struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Eldridge Burke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Lawrence FC. 25 minutes into the match, Mathew Arnold notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of St. Lawrence FC's Jack Kidd. Jack Kidd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mathew Arnold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Kidd having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, St. Lawrence FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Ruff to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, St. Lawrence FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathew Arnold came free, but Jack Kidd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathew Arnold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Kidd having to interfere. A collision led to St. Lawrence FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rodger Boles hit a great ball. Justin Callahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Kidd having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Mathew Arnold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The St. Lawrence FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wings were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Major Merchant made the kick off in the second half. If Justin Callahan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathew Arnold got free with Jack Kidd in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Justin Callahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Kidd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wings's Eldridge Burke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Merchant in the 58th minute of play. Justin Callahan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jack Kidd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Collin Hatfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Collin Hatfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St. Lawrence FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Collin Hatfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jack Kidd came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Wings's Mathew Arnold. But to his dismay, Mathew Arnold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Jack Kidd acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jerrod Parrot. Wings's Mathew Arnold got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute Justin Callahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Kidd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Wings left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than St. Lawrence FC.
