Bernie Lacharité struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Constantin Garnier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arvida. Dalton Patterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Constantin Garnier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dalton Patterson came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Arvida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalton Patterson couldn't finish the play. Foymount FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arvida the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalton Patterson was the one to do the kick off. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Foymount FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernie Lacharité came free, but Constantin Garnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalton Patterson in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Constantin Garnier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Arvida's Rob Parent got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute, Brock Ferris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homer Horner in the 87th minute of play forced Arvida's goalkeeper Wyatt McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wyatt McNamara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iréné Caron in the 90th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Dalton Patterson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalton Patterson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Foymount FC's Constantin Garnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Parent in the 94th minute of play. Dalton Patterson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Garnier having to interfere. Foymount FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
