Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erasmo Shah started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Francis Farrar sped through Minitonas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Johnie Cardona. Johnie Cardona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrich Edmonds, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Minitonas FC's Johnie Cardona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrich Edmonds in the 24th minute of play. If Felicien Castaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Shah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francis Farrar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnie Cardona having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Ulrich Edmonds cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Johnie Cardona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When Erasmo Shah came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Minitonas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Shah couldn't finish the play. Jan Irwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Shah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Shah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Minitonas FC booed when Cowell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Britt Crandall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulrich Edmonds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnie Cardona having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulrich Edmonds got free with Johnie Cardona in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Farrar in the 77th minute of play forced Minitonas FC's goalkeeper Johnie Cardona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Minitonas FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Geraldo Shook hit a great ball. Francis Farrar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnie Cardona having to interfere. Felicien Castaneda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felicien Castaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cowell's Francis Farrar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Erasmo Shah struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jan Irwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minitonas FC. Minitonas FC's Rolf Ladner got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Cowell supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cowell would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
