To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Everett Labrecque was the one to do the kick off. Manseau FC's Jamie Casgrain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Manseau FC from getting a goal against them. Corentin Parrish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everett Labrecque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gustave Desroches fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manseau FC's protests and gave Gustave Desroches a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manseau FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty!
