In the 13th match minute, Keewatin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwardo Golden to maneuver through the defense. Keewatin's supporters rose to their feet, but Perry Wiley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ashley Storey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Niagara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Wiley came free, but Ashley Storey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milo Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Roy Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Léonard Starnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Keewatin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Roy Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léonce Cummings in the 43rd minute of the match. If Milo Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Léonce Cummings was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Niagara FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacques Vickers. Ashley Storey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Feldman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Léonard Starnes struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ashley Storey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keewatin. Edwardo Golden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ashley Storey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milo Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 84 minutes of play, Niagara FC's Milo Kaplan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roy Tabor was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Niagara FC's Ashley Storey got control of the ball when Dwain Cyr tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Niagara FC had won after a very even match.
