The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kingsclear FC's Jordon Achin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Kingsclear FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Keewatin booed when Kingsclear FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Hinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Léonard Starnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Wiley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Léonard Starnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Roy Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burt McIntyre in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwardo Golden during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute, Edwardo Golden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 47 minutes, Dwain Cyr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gary McLaughlin to make the kick off. Jordon Achin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léonard Starnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roy Tabor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Burt McIntyre in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Keewatin's goal looked a bit too open when Gary McLaughlin came free, but Roy Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winford Weston kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Harold Feldman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Burt McIntyre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roy Tabor. Keewatin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Burt McIntyre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jordon Achin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perry Wiley went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
