Spectators: 6733 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Randy Delaney kicked off to start the match. Elmira's Donnell Altman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randy Delaney in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Lino Neff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hanley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Hanley getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sean Beam hit a great ball. 13 minutes in the game, Alonso Mack fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kieth Finley having to interfere. Noble Ashby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieth Finley having to interfere. Kieth Finley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonso Mack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donnell Altman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Neff in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Alonso Mack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kieth Finley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Randy Delaney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donnell Altman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donnell Altman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randy Delaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Noble Ashby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elmira's supporters rose to their feet, but Noble Ashby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kieth Finley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Elmira's zone, Lino Neff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donnell Altman came out of the goal and Lino Neff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Elmira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hanley were winning 0-1.

54 minutes into the match, Hanley's goal looked a bit too open when Alonso Mack came free, but Kieth Finley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Noble Ashby came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Elmira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noble Ashby couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Hanley's Irwin Stevens got a free kick in the 59th minute. Hanley's Kieth Finley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noble Ashby in the 61st minute of play. Lino Neff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donnell Altman having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Alonso Mack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elmira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonso Mack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hanley's Kieth Finley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noble Ashby in the 77th minute of play. Noble Ashby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alonso Mack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieth Finley having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonso Mack in the 86th minute of play forced Hanley's goalkeeper Kieth Finley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noble Ashby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieth Finley having to interfere. In the 97th minute of the match Sean Beam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donnell Altman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Elmira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hanley's performance. The match ended with a win for Hanley.
