Brett Dale started the match with the kick off. In the 11th minute Long Staton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Boswell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Dale in the 14th minute of play forced Fitgerald FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Kirkpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chad Monrency fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fitgerald FC's protests and gave Chad Monrency a yellow card for diving instead. Chad Monrency hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Alonso Whitaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Boswell having to interfere. Alonso Whitaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macklin FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Boswell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Macklin FC's Murray Vaughn got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kennith Bland hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Tinsley in the 41st minute of play forced Fitgerald FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Kirkpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mariano Abrams fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macklin FC's protests and gave Mariano Abrams a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Mariano Abrams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bert Suggs hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Alonso Whitaker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macklin FC's Erasmo Boswell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Macklin FC's Louis Tinsley got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonso Whitaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Erasmo Boswell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Fitgerald FC got a freekick which was hit by Scott Brochu. Fitgerald FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Louis Tinsley scored to the left of an out of position Reynaldo Kirkpatrick, making the score, 0-1. Fitgerald FC's Reynaldo Kirkpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Dale in the 66th minute of play. Louis Tinsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Macklin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alonso Whitaker came free, but Erasmo Boswell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Louis Tinsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Macklin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Vaughn to maneuver through the defense. Fitgerald FC's Chad Monrency got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Macklin FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
