The supporters of Norwood booed when Marieville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Christian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Marieville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Christian to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lynwood Aldridge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marieville's Lynwood Aldridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Elliot in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Guillermo Elliot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norwood fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sherwood Jean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynwood Aldridge having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lynwood Aldridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherwood Jean in the 46th minute of the match. When Florentin Salter fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marieville's protests and gave Florentin Salter a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 54th minute Sherwood Jean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lynwood Aldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Elliot scored 0-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lynwood Aldridge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 60th play minutes Sherwood Jean shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Lynwood Aldridge and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherwood Jean in the 87th minute of play forced Marieville's goalkeeper Lynwood Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Elliot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Lynwood Aldridge skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 97th minute Norwood were awarded a corner. Boyd Coffman went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Norwood eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
