Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Thaddeus Nicholas took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Thaddeus Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17thth minute of the game Noble Ashby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marieville's Lynwood Aldridge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Marieville's Edgar Hayes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donnell Altman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Hayes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donnell Altman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Edgar Hayes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Donnell Altman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Thaddeus Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marieville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thaddeus Nicholas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Hayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Donnell Altman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thaddeus Nicholas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donnell Altman came out and tried to block the shot, but Thaddeus Nicholas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonso Mack in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lynwood Aldridge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noah Howard struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lynwood Aldridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elmira. Alonso Mack might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lynwood Aldridge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonso Mack ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alonso Mack made a kick off. Noble Ashby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynwood Aldridge having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Marieville's Edgar Hayes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donnell Altman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thaddeus Nicholas in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donnell Altman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Thaddeus Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Oliver Rosales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marieville fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! In the 87th minute, Cristobal Kessler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lynwood Aldridge was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Alonso Mack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynwood Aldridge having to interfere. Donnell Altman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thaddeus Nicholas's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Elmira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Marieville.
