Clova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Malcom Merchant ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Garret Lamothe advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 5th minute. Marcel Labrosse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Garret Lamothe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Cobden AFC got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Rosales. In the 14th minute of the match Ike Rosas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frédéric Mayberry showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maximilien Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Labrosse, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garret Lamothe in the 19th minute of play forced Clova's goalkeeper Maximilien Henry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frédéric Mayberry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charley Tyler in the 21st minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Charley Tyler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charley Tyler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Désiré Church's late challenge caught a Clova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Désiré Church helped the player get up and apologised. Désiré Church hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Xavier Rosales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremiah Villeneuve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremiah Villeneuve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédéric Mayberry having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Labrosse in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximilien Henry saved Clova from getting behind. Frédéric Mayberry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremiah Villeneuve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Garret Lamothe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ike Ly hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mac Gauthier during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute Marcel Labrosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilien Henry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremiah Villeneuve to strike the kick off in the second half. Charley Tyler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédéric Mayberry having to interfere. Maximilien Henry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garret Lamothe in the 54th minute of the match. Frédéric Mayberry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremiah Villeneuve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Clova's Charley Tyler in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cobden AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Charley Tyler sped through Cobden AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frédéric Mayberry. Marcel Labrosses short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Maximilien Henry to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 70th minute, Garret Lamothe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maximilien Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garret Lamothe, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Cobden AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Xavier Rosales hit a great ball. Jeremiah Villeneuve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcel Labrosse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cobden AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Clova from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
