Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Derick Robison took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Emanuel Denton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Denton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Corey McCollum made a huge save. A collision led to Newtown getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Derick Robison hit a great ball. With a little luck, Doussal FC's Corey McCollum got control of the ball when Barry Rankin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute Derick Robison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corey McCollum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrick Daugherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Newtown's Derick Robison in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Doussal FC's goalie prevented a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrick Daugherty came free, but Adolfo Langlais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derick Robison in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corey McCollum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Fredrick Daugherty cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adolfo Langlais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 36 minutes, Santiago Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Doussal FC and the Newtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Doussal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corey McCollum having to interfere. Winford Maurer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Adolfo Langlais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Denton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fredrick Daugherty to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Doussal FC defense, Emanuel Denton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corey McCollum. The Doussal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corey McCollum should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Doussal FC's Winford Maurer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Langlais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Fredrick Daugherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chung King hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Moises Murry, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Adolfo Langlais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrick Daugherty in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrick Daugherty in the 74th minute of play forced Newtown's goalkeeper Adolfo Langlais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barry Rankin charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barry Rankin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Barry Rankin. Doussal FC's Corey McCollum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Denton in the 78th minute of play. Emanuel Denton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Fredrick Daugherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Langlais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Langlais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrick Daugherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Emanuel Denton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Corey McCollum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derick Robison struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Corey McCollum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newtown. The crowd rose to their feet as Sherwood Guertin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adolfo Langlais. That made the score 1-3 in the 98 minute of play. Doussal FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
