Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fredrick Daugherty took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ben Huerta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corey McCollum. Doussal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ben Huerta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luciano Gross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Corey McCollum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Huerta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corey McCollum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Huerta, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrick Daugherty in the 13th minute of play forced Castlegar AFC's goalkeeper Hayden Sicard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Luciano Gross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corey McCollum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Winford Maurer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hayden Sicard made a huge save. Adolfo Whitley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corey McCollum having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winford Maurer got free with Hayden Sicard in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th of the match, Fredrick Daugherty tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Hayden Sicard got in the way and made a wonderful save. Fredrick Daugherty's late challenge caught a Castlegar AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrick Daugherty helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Doussal FC's Fredrick Daugherty got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Perceval Brand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adolfo Whitley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Gross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ben Huerta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Doussal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Castlegar AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ben Huerta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hayden Sicard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winford Maurer in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Winford Maurer in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hayden Sicard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Doussal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Huerta came free, but Corey McCollum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castlegar AFC's Hayden Sicard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrick Daugherty in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sherwood Guertin during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Doussal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sherwood Guertin to maneuver through the defense. After 87 minutes of play, Castlegar AFC's Luciano Gross made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corey McCollum was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Doussal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Castlegar AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
