Sunnybrook AFC's Félix Barrette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Davenport in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Sunnybrook AFC's Agustin Tapia got a free kick in the 51st minute. Gustavo Atwood struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Félix Barrette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for McKague. 64 minutes into the match, Sunnybrook AFC's Claude Brunelle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santo Butcher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santo Butcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chas Gallardo in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Claude Brunelle got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Claude Brunelle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santo Butcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sunnybrook AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Atwood came free, but Félix Barrette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zackary Patton during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
