Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfred McClain kicked off to start the match. Alfred McClain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred McClain in the 5th minute of play forced McKague's goalkeeper Santo Butcher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Butcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred McClain in the 7th minute of play. Denis Huppé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Leroux having to interfere. If Gustavo Atwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 minutes, Jamaal Boykin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. McKague's Santo Butcher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Danny Leroux stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Davenport's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Essex's Danny Leroux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Davenport in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Essex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Whitman to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes, McKague's Rodrick Voss shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danny Leroux came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in McKague reached it. After 30 played minutes Essex got a freekick which was hit by Jamaal Boykin. Leon Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Essex's Danny Leroux got control of the ball when Gustavo Atwood tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Essex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grover Rocher to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Atwoods short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Danny Leroux to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alfred McClain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Essex were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Leon Davenport made the kick off in the second half. Essex's Danny Leroux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Davenport in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Gustavo Atwood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McKague's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Atwood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grover Rocher got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 60th minute, Grover Rocher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Leon Davenport notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Essex's Danny Leroux. Danny Leroux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Danny Leroux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Atwood in the 67th minute of play. Danny Leroux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Davenport in the 73rd minute of play. If Gustavo Atwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Essex's zone, Leon Davenport stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Leroux came out of the goal and Leon Davenport tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jamaal Boykin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gustavo Atwood came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the McKague fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Atwood couldn't finish the play. After 93 minutes of play, McKague's Leon Davenport made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danny Leroux was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. McKague had won after a very even match.
