Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Ron Dempsey made the kick off and thus started the match. Ali Sears recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Oromocto booed when Woodstock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jérémie Mireault didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 minutes, Glen Roach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woodstock and the Oromocto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Woodstock fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Nolan Mothé shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a rather tough play, Oromocto's Germain Marseau got a free kick in the 12th minute. Haywood Scruggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Cooke in the 13th minute of the match. Haywood Scruggs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Cooke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Woodstock's zone, Germain Marseau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donn Carroll came out of the goal and Germain Marseau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daren Phaneufs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Donn Carroll to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 30 minutes, Ali Sears managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oromocto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Sears was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Sears in the 39th minute of play forced Woodstock's goalkeeper Donn Carroll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daren Phaneuf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Donn Carroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Haywood Scruggs, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th minute, Daren Phaneuf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daren Phaneuf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Donn Carroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Oromocto's protests and gave Germain Marseau a yellow card for diving instead. Kyle Querry, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Haywood Scruggs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Ron Dempsey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Haywood Scruggs. Ron Dempsey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The supporters of Woodstock booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germain Marseau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Germain Marseau came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Oromocto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germain Marseau couldn't finish the play.
