Corey McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cary Paquette having to interfere. When Albert Johns fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thurso FC's protests and gave Albert Johns a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Thurso FC's Albert Johns got a free kick in the 15th minute. During the 17th minute of the match Albert Johns completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Albert Johns a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Hagersville AFC booed when Thurso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Johns didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Corey McCauley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hagersville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corey McCauley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnny McNair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Lawler during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Florencio Lawler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Thurso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny McNair came free, but Cary Paquette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Thurso FC's zone, Johnny McNair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cary Paquette came out of the goal and Johnny McNair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corey McCauley got free with Cary Paquette in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florencio Lawler kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Hagersville AFC's Perceval Marcoux tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Johnny McNair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cary Paquette having to interfere. Corey McCauley who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Cary Paquette when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Corey McCauley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thurso FC. Corey McCauley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cary Paquette didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnny McNair went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Johnny McNair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cary Paquette having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hagersville AFC had played much better football throughout.
