With an all-out effort, Loverna AFC's Granville Patrick threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Val Ewing, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christian Kimbrough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Granville Patrick made a huge save. Granville Patrick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarrod Barnhart showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Vincent Schmitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loverna AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Griffin the free kick. Vincent Schmitz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Christian Kimbrough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Granville Patrick having to interfere. If Val Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Griffin getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gary Shipman hit a great ball. Granville Patrick made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Christian Kimbrough sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the game, one of Loverna AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 48th minute, Christian Kimbrough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Granville Patrick. The goal made the score 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Val Ewing made a kick off. Sammy Connolly's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Murray Hernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Val Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Christian Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Griffin's zone, Christian Kimbrough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Granville Patrick came out of the goal and Christian Kimbrough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 73rd minute of the match Vincent Schmitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vincent Schmitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
