The supporters of Montreal FC booed when Aklavika FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Arnold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Joaquin Perrault mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montreal FC and the Aklavika FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montreal FC's Joaquin Perrault got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute Elijah FresneFrêne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashad Rubio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match Dominic Begay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lyndon Stark showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Arnold in the 35th minute of play forced Montreal FC's goalkeeper Lyndon Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aklavika FC's Rocky Andrews got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Louis Arnold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lyndon Stark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocky Andrews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Louis Arnold put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lyndon Stark.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocky Andrews was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Montreal FC's zone, Louis Arnold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lyndon Stark came out of the goal and Louis Arnold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Aklavika FC's Rocky Andrews in the 60th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lyndon Stark was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Montreal FC through an amazing save. If Elijah FresneFrêne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aklavika FC's Rashad Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elijah FresneFrêne in the 67th minute of play. Lyndon Stark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louis Arnold in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Rocky Andrews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aklavika FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rocky Andrews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyndon Stark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Louis Arnold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lyndon Stark having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Rocky Andrews who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montreal FC's Lyndon Stark was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Louis Arnold struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Lyndon Stark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aklavika FC. Rocky Andrews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lyndon Stark having to interfere. Montreal FC's Lyndon Stark proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Montreal FC from getting a goal against them. Aklavika FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
