Sammy Connolly ran back to his position shaking his head. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Lawler couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, one of Donalda FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Donalda FC. Sammy Connolly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Séverin Ventura during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes Donalda FC got a freekick which was hit by Séverin Ventura. After 77 played minutes, Griffin's Lino Fisher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jewell Pike came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Griffin reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Griffin had won after a very even match.
