Louisburg FC's Stanton Chaussée got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelio Shipp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lyndon Stark. That made the score 3-1 in the 21 minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Elijah FresneFrêne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elijah FresneFrêne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Louisburg FC's goalkeeper Lucius Dick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucius Dick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elijah FresneFrêne in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Montreal FC booed when Louisburg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamey Bilodeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucius Dick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elijah FresneFrêne, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
