With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odell Shipman in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Douglas saved Sunnyslope from getting behind. Matthew Bruneaus short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Sam Douglas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odell Shipman in the 21st minute of play forced Sunnyslope's goalkeeper Sam Douglas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Riceton AFC booed when Sunnyslope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danial Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sunnyslope's Sam Douglas got control of the ball when Matthew Bruneau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barrett Bonilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célestin Muniz having to interfere. Célestin Muniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Baril's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Barrett Bonilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Barrett Bonilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthew Bruneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Douglas having to interfere. Barrett Bonilla struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Célestin Muniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunnyslope. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Odell Shipman made the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Baril sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 minutes, Louis Willoughby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riceton AFC and the Sunnyslope players grew even worse after the yellow card. 70 minutes into the match, Riceton AFC's Odell Shipman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sam Douglas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 74 played minutes Sunnyslope got a freekick which was hit by Danial Oliver. In the 75th minute, Matthew Bruneau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sam Douglas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sam Douglas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthew Bruneau went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Riceton AFC's Célestin Muniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Riceton AFC from getting a goal against them. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Riceton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Barrett Bonilla came free, but Célestin Muniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Riceton AFC had won after a very even match.
