After 11 played minutes Griffin got a freekick which was hit by Gary Shipman. Nicholas Burrell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sammy Connolly in the 15th minute. Nicholas Burrell came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Griffin's Sammy Connolly. But to his dismay, Sammy Connolly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 25 minutes, Forest Bisaillon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Griffin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forest Bisaillon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Griffin's goal looked a bit too open when Burton Davidson came free, but Granville Patrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Granville Patrick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reyes Crane's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Forest Bisaillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dover's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Griffin the free kick. In the 46th minute, Yves Medrano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
After 51 played minutes Griffin got a freekick which was hit by Gary Shipman. Reyes Crane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Granville Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute of the match Ambrose Dill shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicholas Burrell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sammy Connolly in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Burrell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Forest Bisaillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69thth minute of the game Sammy Connolly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dover's Nicholas Burrell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicholas Burrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forest Bisaillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Daren Nixon charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daren Nixon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Griffin getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Burton Davidson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Granville Patrick was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reyes Crane got free with Granville Patrick in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Burton Davidson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Granville Patrick having to interfere. With a little luck, Griffin's Granville Patrick got control of the ball when Reyes Crane tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute Burton Davidson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Granville Patrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dover's Reyes Crane got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Reyes Crane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Granville Patrick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
