Brice Brault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremiah Cardona in the 35th minute of the match. Kirk Villalobos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Colton Laderoute read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Toronto SC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Randal Donahue hit a great ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Toronto SC's goalkeeper Colton Laderoute, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Toronto SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitchell Lussier to maneuver through the defense. Kendrick FresneFrêne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Emmitt Dick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmitt Dick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd play minute Randal Donahue came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brice Brault. 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
