Ross Capps's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darius Cullen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Ross Capps's late challenge caught a Palling AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ross Capps helped the player get up and apologised. Ross Capps hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 17 minutes, Rafael Laird mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palling AFC and the Livelong players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Palling AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Laird. Darius Cullen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Capps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Fraser charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Fraser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Palling AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Fraser. Ross Capps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Darius Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross Capps got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Darius Cullen handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Ross Capps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ross Capps sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ross Capps in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darius Cullen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Livelong's Quincy Sizemore got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darius Cullen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quincy Sizemore went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 64 minutes, Ross Capps made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Palling AFC's Darius Cullen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Quentin Gold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Cullen having to interfere. Darius Cullen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Capps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palling AFC's goalkeeper Darius Cullen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Quincy Sizemore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Darius Cullen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ross Capps, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match Livelong got a corner. Palling AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Russ Mayo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Palling AFC's Darius Cullen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Sizemore in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Palling AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Capps came free, but Darius Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palling AFC's Rodrick Madsen got a free kick in the 86th minute. Quincy Sizemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Livelong's Ross Capps in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palling AFC's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Livelong had played much better football throughout.
